KosKita

About This Project

KosKita is a boarding house rental platform developed as a capstone project by a team of six at Alterra Academy. The goal of the project was to simplify the housing search process for students by providing a centralized platform for discovering, comparing, and reserving boarding houses.

The application emphasizes location-based discovery, allowing users to browse available properties through interactive maps and structured listings. Each listing provides detailed information such as pricing, facilities, photo galleries, and availability to support informed decision-making.

Within the team, I was primarily responsible for frontend development and API integration. My contributions included implementing booking-related user flows, integrating payment interfaces using Midtrans, and ensuring that backend data was accurately reflected in the UI. A real-time messaging feature was also implemented to enable direct communication between property owners and tenants, reducing friction during inquiries and reservations.

The frontend was built using React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS, with strong emphasis on type safety and validation using Zod. This project provided hands-on experience working in a collaborative team environment, aligning frontend implementation with backend contracts, and delivering a production-like application within a fixed timeline.
