Homez

About This Project

Homez is a full-stack real estate application designed to simplify property discovery and booking through an intuitive and data-driven user experience. The project focuses on solving common issues in property platforms, such as inefficient search flows and lack of geographic context when browsing listings.

The application allows users to explore property listings through an interactive map interface powered by Leaflet.js, enabling users to visually understand property locations while browsing. In addition to map-based exploration, the platform provides advanced multi-criteria filtering based on price range, amenities, and location, helping users quickly narrow down relevant options.

Authenticated users have access to personalized features such as profile dashboards and saved listings. On the supply side, a dedicated agent portal allows property owners or agents to manage listings, update availability, and monitor inquiries. This separation of roles helps maintain clean data boundaries and simplifies frontend logic.

The frontend is built with React and TypeScript, focusing on responsive layouts and predictable state management using Zustand and TanStack Query. The backend, implemented with Node.js, Express, and MongoDB, handles property data, booking requests, and user interactions in a structured manner. Homez demonstrates practical experience in building map-based interfaces and managing complex UI state in a full-stack application.
